What to include
You do not have to include any of this, but it usually saves a round trip:
- Which app — washi·doc or washi·pad — and the device you are using.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
- A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.
Please do not email us a document or note that contains information you would not want us to read. We do not need your files to answer most questions, and we will ask first if we do.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Both apps open straight to your work and every core feature runs without signing in — writing notes, importing and editing PDFs, annotating, organizing, exporting. Signing in is optional and adds one thing: backing up your own work and syncing it across your own devices.
How do I get my work onto another device?
Sign in on both devices with the same account, and turn on backup. Your library uploads and then restores on the other device. Until you sign in, everything stays only on the device you made it on.
I paid for Pro but the paid features are still locked.
Pro is an auto-renewable subscription tied to the store account that bought it. Open Settings, go to the Pro screen, and tap Restore. If it is still locked after that, email us the store account's email address and roughly when you purchased, and we will sort it out.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Delete account. It removes your account and the work you backed up, on every device you are signed in on. Full instructions, and what happens to each kind of data, are on the delete your account page.

The privacy policy covers this in detail — what is collected, what is never collected, and who it is shared with.
